BIRTH

Aeryn Nicole Vaughn was born on May 6, 2007 at 12:47 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 2.8 ounces and measured 20½ inches. Ryan, Liz and little sister Taryn would like to welcome the new addition to their family. Aeryn is Dave and Debbie Sasso's fourth grandchild.

Stephen John Wilson

U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Stephen John Wilson, 28, died June 20, 2007 while serving his third tour of duty with the 13th Marine expeditionary unit in Iraq.

Stephen is the dearly beloved son of Bonnie Lo Schreiner of Hidden Valley Lake, Calif. and John (Johnny) Wilson of Tualatin, Ore.; adored brother of James D. (April) Wilson of Clearlake, Calif. and Scott A. Wilson of Aloha, Ore.; devoted uncle of Adam and Dylan Wilson of Clearlake, Calif.; beloved grandson of Virginia M. Schreiner; and nephew of Paul J. Schreiner of Pittsford, N.Y., Susan (Francis) Vacanti of Fairport, N.Y., and Terry (Barbara) Schreiner of Conesus, N.Y. Stephen also had numerous cousins in New York.

He was a 1997 graduate of Liberty High School in Brentwood, where he played JV soccer and was a member of the FFA. He was a sports enthusiast and loved playing ice hockey, soccer, baseball and bull riding.

Stephen enlisted in the Marine Corps in August of 1997. He completed one tour of duty in Okinawa and then served as an MSG at the American Embassy in Helsinki, Finland and the Ivory Coast and South Africa.

Memorial Mass was held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

The family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Marines' Toys for Tots program or to organizations that help disabled Iraq war veterans.
