BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse will host a fundraiser next week in support of breast cancer awareness on Tuesday, June 26 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

In September, Brentwood resident Stefanie Salvotti will participate in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk in San Francisco in memory of her mother, who died of breast cancer at the age of 42. Salvotti is partnered with BJ’s to raise money for the cause. To obtain the flyer needed to participate in the fundraiser, e-mail Salvotti at stefanie_28@hotmail.com. Then take a table at BJ’s, present the flyer to your server and BJ’s will donate 15 percent of your check to Salvotti’s effort. To qualify for the walk, Salvotti must raise $2,300. At press time, she had raised $762.

“I can still remember the moment when my sister called and told me the news that my mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer. My Mom was diagnosed when she was 38, and I turn 38 this year,” Salvotti wrote on her 3-Day fundraising page. “I can’t change the past but I can honor her memory. This is why I’ve decided to make a difference in her honor and for all women and walk in Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure this year.”

BJ’s Brewhouse is located at the Streets of Brentwood, 2365 Sand Creek Road in Brentwood.
