Chester “Dale” Young, 60, of West Point passed away on Jan. 14 in Rancho Cordova.

Born on Jan. 27, 1948 in Sommersville, Mo., he is survived by his three daughters: Rebecca Costa of Isleton; Mindy Kuhnle (Randy); and Amy Green, both of Manteca; his eight grandchildren: Ashley, William, Lexi, Makenzie, Justin, Morgan, Ireland and Levi. He is also survived by his father: Hershel Young of West Point; and brothers: Hershel Jr., Clarence, Cecil, Carlos and Clinton, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother: Beulah Young of Antioch.

Memorial Services were held on Jan. 29 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1051 in Ripon, followed by a private burial. Arrangements were handled by Park View Funeral Home in Manteca.
