Starts White: The Patriots won their third straight game with a 34-0 victory against an undermanned Galt Patriot squad. Galt was only able to field 12 players, but gave a good effort. The Starts White started the scoring with a 65-yard touchdown run by Riley Condon. Ryan Vanderwerf quickly recovered a Galt fumbled ball, which set up Alex Espinoza's touchdown. Lorenzo Orozco recovered another fumble and Kevin Milam made an impressive 43-yard touchdown run with the help of some equally impressive blocking by Darius Scott.
The Delta Patriots quickly scored twice in the third quarter on runs by Espinoza and Milam. By the end of the third quarter, the Patriots led 34-0 and the Mercy Rule was invoked. Galt's Collin Ilonummi, Jarlath Maae and Darian Moreno played valiantly for Galt, but fatigue and lack o depth were just too much to overcome.
JV White: The Delta Patriots systematically dismantled the Galt JV team 37-7. A dominating defense led by Michael Pace's 22-yard touchdown interception return and a pick by Dante Nomellini for a 52-yard strike stifled Galt, while the offense scored touchdowns early and often. Carlos Mercado made a 27-yard reception for his first score of the season. Scores by Brandon Dell, Brandon Carpenter and Jordan Paris soon made it a Mercy Rule game.
Again, Galt was short on players but not on heart. Justin Edgmon, Christian Guardado and Eliceo Pintor gave it their all, but playing on every down finally took its toll.
Varsity: The Delta Patriots varsity team earned its first win in league history with a convincing 44-14 rout of shorthanded Galt. Damonte McCray scored four times, once on an interception return, and rushed for over 100 yards. Mitch Schrader, Donte Moore and Shawn Vasquez added scores as well. The final blow was Moore's 68-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter, invoking the Mercy Rule for a third and final time.
The Galt varsity played with great courage despite a depleted roster. Andrew Manginelli and Chris Giovannie scored late for Galt, and along with Clay Backert and Mathew Smith, put up a fight on defense. However, they were completely overwhelmed by the Delta varsity squad.
