Last season, BOYFL fielded football teams in all age categories, ranging from Tiny Mites (5-7) to Midgets (12-15) plus cheer teams on most levels. As the league believes all youth should be given the opportunity to play, it holds no tryouts and makes no cuts.
The Falcon cheerleaders have traveled to Disneyworld in Orlando, where they compete in a national competition against other Pop Warner leagues from across the nation.
The Brentwood Oakley Falcons are on the cutting edge when it comes to coach training and player equipment. Over the last year, the league’s board members have made unprecedented investments toward new football gear and will be making other major investments this season toward athlete safety.
The Brentwood-Oakley association focuses on the scholastics of all the athletes as well as the safety and fundamentals of the sport. BOYFL is operated by a dedicated group of volunteers from the local communities. The league is a nonprofit organization and therefore depends on the talents, skills and assets of its volunteers, who work behind the scenes to make the association work.
The BOYFL Falcons football and cheer are part of the National Pop Warner association, founded in 1929 and serving more than 400,000 participants in 42 states and several nations.
BOYFL welcomes kids 5-15 to participate in the football and cheer programs. Registration for the 2011 Football and Cheer season is currently underway; a limited number of opennings remain. For more information on becoming part of the Falcon family, visit www.boyfl-falcons.com.
