Friends of Marsh Creek Watershed’s July Meeting will be held Thursday, July 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Liberty Union High School District offices, 20 Oak St. in Brentwood. The meeting will explore recent grant awards from the EPA, REI, Rose Foundation and others that haven’t been announced yet.

Volunteers are needed for FOMCW’s outreach and education efforts at Oakley’s Citywide Celebration and Fireworks on Saturday, July 7 from 1:30 to 11:30 p.m. at Freedom High School Basin Park on Neroly Road. Volunteers will assist in selling cold drinks and frozen candy bars to raise funds for FOMCW. Volunteers are also needed to work the informational side of the FOMCW booth, providing information about the organization’s activities. And FOMCW will also be operating a booth at the CornFest in Brentwood from July 13 through 15.

To help out, e-mail volunteer@FOMCW.org and specify your times of availability.
