On the evening of July 23, my 2-year-old lab mix Coco Bean snuck under our garage door and went on an adventure. While my husband, my in-laws and all of the neighbors were helping us look for her, I was at home with our sleeping baby, completely frantic and distraught at the thought of my “baby” Coco out in the dark and getting hurt somehow.
After about an hour, my husband called to tell me his dad found Coco! She had crossed Balfour Road and found a couple of other dogs (with their owner) to play with. That owner leashed up Coco for us and waited near the creek, knowing her owners would be looking for her.
To the woman who found and saved my Coco Bean: thank you “thank you” is just not enough to say. I don’t know your name or where you live, but you kept our family safe and intact. For that, I am forever grateful to you.
