Grownups bring their four-wheeled “toys” in to see Ted Curran at Monkey Wrenches all the time, but these days their visits are more often about another kind of toy.

For years, Monkey Wrenches has been a drop-off spot for the Brentwood Marine Corps League’s Toys For Tots program – which works locally with the Brentwood Regional Community Chest Christmas Basket Program – and donations are already rolling in.

“I have had many goodhearted people stopping by to drop off toys already,” said Curran. “Many of those are just people driving by and noticing the banner. One family came in with three full garbage bags of toys and games. We have collected well in excess of 50 toys and games. Our collection barrel has been emptied twice already.”

Residents are invited to drop off items on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monkey Wrenches is located at 8130 Brentwood Blvd.
