Did you know that May is National Zombie Awareness month? To prepare Brentwood for undead menaces, the Brentwood Library holds a free, two-hour Zombie Survival Seminar for students in grades six through 12 on Wednesday, May 25 at 4 p.m.

Zombie Awareness Month seeks to educate humans about the threat of an undead uprising. It’s deliberately set in May, not the more obvious month of October, because of the unpredictable nature of the zombie virus.

Seminar attendees will learn about zombie strengths and weaknesses and how to assemble a disaster kit. With the assistance of local makeup artists, attendees will also learn to perfect their camouflage by becoming a zombie themselves.

This event is sponsored in partnership with the Friends of the Brentwood Library. The event takes place at the Brentwood Senior Center, 193 Griffith Lane. Space is limited. To register, call the Brentwood Library at 925-516-5290.
