Delta Vista Middle School seventh-grader Jennifer Swafford, 12, recently turned in approximately 13,000 pennies, nearly filling a 5-gallon water jug, as part of the Pennies For Patients fundraiser, which benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Elementary, middle and high school students throughout the country have raised more than $100 million since the program began in 1994. Nice work, Jennifer!
