The public is invited to browse through an attractive selection of old and new quilts at a sale sponsored by Hospice of the East Bay. The event is held Friday and Saturday, March 30 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, April 1 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Hospice of the East Bay Thrift Shoppe, 5350 Clayton Road in Concord.

The sale showcases an array of handmade, vintage and contemporary quilts, vintage lace, linens, fabrics, antique furniture and collectibles. On Sunday, most items will be reduced by 50 percent. Proceeds benefit the patients and families in the care of Hospice of the East Bay.

Established in 1977, Hospice of the East Bay is a nonprofit agency that helps people cope with the end of life by providing medical, emotional, spiritual and practical support for patients and families, regardless of their ability to pay.
