William Lawrie – shown here with grandchildren William, left, Michael, standing, Dolores, in hat, and family friend Pam – spent his life as a rancher in Martinez. At the age of 96, he wanted to see and be around horses one more time.

His granddaughter Dolores contacted Mary Chapman at An Elderly Wish Foundation and by the generosity of Donna and Jack Roddy at Roddy Ranch, his wish was granted. William got the grand tour and a delightful visit with the Roddys – and time with the horses.
