Freedom High School head varsity football coach Kevin Hartwig gives directions to a group of young East County football players during an NFL High School Player Development camp earlier this week. Players from Freedom, Heritage, Liberty and Pittsburg high schools ran drills and learned about concussions, NCAA guidelines, time management and other life skills. Players also listened to advice from running back Taiwan Jones of the Oakland Raiders, a Deer Valley High School graduate.
