The Commons at Dallas Ranch, the premier assisted living community in Antioch, recently hosted the Antioch Chamber Mixer and celebrated its one-year anniversary with an event titled "Under the Tuscan Sun."

Mayor Don Freitas presented the Commons with a proclamation and led everyone in singing "Happy Birthday" to the Commons. Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra impersonators crooned while guests feasted on Italian-inspired refreshments. A wine tasting table was provided by Hannah Nicole Vineyards.

The Commons at Dallas Ranch opened Aug. 2, 2006 and met with immediate success. Residents enjoy the "affordable luxury" of one- and two-bedroom suites in a homelike environment, plus the continual enrichment of numerous social programs and activities.

The Commons at Dallas Ranch Assisted Living Community in Antioch was the third of three established by Premiera Care, an Oakdale-based company. The success of the first community in Modesto led to expansion and the addition of communities in Stockton and Antioch. A Manteca community is in the works.
