Former Brentwood resident Pedro Loredo, 80, passed away Feb. 15 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.

Pedro was a native of Mexico and had lived in Newman for 15 years. He was a farm laborer who worked for Bloomfield Farms for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, family gatherings and was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Laredo of Newman; three sons, Isidoro Laredo of Manteca, George Laredo of Oakley and Quirino Laredo of Minnesota; four daughters, Maxine Melton of Oakley, Juanita Poblete of Oakland, Dora Laredo of Newman and Alicia Salazar of Lodi; a sister, Mercedes Tovar of Oakland; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pedro was preceded in death by son, Pedro Loredo, Jr., and daughter, Trinidad Loredo.

Arrangements were handled by Hillview Funeral Chapel.
