On the 500 block of West 19th Street, a 5-year-old female reported to her parents that she was almost kidnapped in front of her family home.
The girl stated that she was playing in her front yard alone when she was approached by a man who asked her if she wanted some candy. She told the man no, and he grabbed her by her head, covered her mouth with his hand, and dragged her toward his car, which was parked in front of her house.
Her brother ran toward them and the man let her go, got into his car and drove away.
The suspect is described as a black male adult, 30 to 40 years old; 5 feet 10 inches; 180 pounds; wearing an orange hoodie, green T-shirt and red shoes with blue laces. The man was driving a white, two-door vehicle with blue racing stripes on the hood.

Officers of the Antioch Police Department responded to the report of a shooting at the Pizza Hut on Contra Loma Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers found 20-year-old Antioch resident Joseph Martinez collapsed on the floor, suffering from gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation indicates that two groups of Hispanic males got into a verbal altercation in front of the restaurant.
As the victim was leaving in his vehicle, one of the subjects pulled out a gun and fired several rounds, striking the victim, who ran into the restaurant and collapsed. The shooter fled the scene.
The victim was transported to John Muir Medical Center, where he was admitted in critical condition.
